Welcome to the Järvenpää Unit of Diak!
You
will find us in the Helsinki metropolitan area, about 40km north of the
city centre. The campus is in a beautiful setting on the shore of Tuusula
lake. Our Diak Unit shares this lively campus with other training and
development organisations. Here you can find a good balance between the
countryside and the city.
Introducing our programmes
Järvenpää
Diak degree programmes specialise in social services and youth work and
also in training people who will work for the church in these fields. The
Unit is engaged with many projects in the region, because we want to be
involved in action and research. Järvenpää Diak is proud of its wide
international links, developed both for our degree programme students and
through our projects. At our Unit it is also possible to follow courses of
advanced study and to study for a Master Degree.
If you choose to
study in our Bachelor Degree Programme in Social Services, there are three
main options: - Option in Social Services and Education - Option in
Diaconal Social Work - Option in Christian Youth Work
